TMT – Tinkering MzTech tutorials

Robots_sMzTechI’m slow me and it suits. I can do fast but for short bursts so when  MzTech emailed us about their TMT MzTech tutorials this Short Circuit girl expressed an interest in sharing my first technical delvings – if only to get in the room with a posse of most wonderful tinkering women. It’s only fair that i share it with you all  below. Also very much looking forward to this at the chatbox workshop at the V&A this weekend too. As a former television puppeteer now retired, i’m partial to a bit of company on hand – an automated one, even better.  Only a day to go until Open Circuit, we’ve got a stunning collection of arts and digital practice people programmed – can’t wait

A women only monthly event of ten minute tutorial presentations on anything techie, from code to cathodes, smart phones to smart materials – learn something new in ten minutes.

We are looking for presentations from women techie artists & tinkerers for the 15th May, 7pm – 9pm, and beyond (future dates tbc). The tutorials are structured to make a simple format that covers lots of information as clearly as possible in a short space of time.  A kind of Pecha Kucha, or speed learning session. Your presentation can be as informal/formal as you like, but in keeping with the TMT! format.  MzTEK TMT! is an opportunity for women to share their knowledge and learn new things about being creative with technology. Our aim is to provide a friendly platform for women to showcase work, share knowledge and get to know like-minded women.

If you are interested in presenting a TMT! please get in touch for more details, we would love to hear form you.
